On my last trip to Toronto I checked out Bunner's Gluten-Free and Vegan Bakery in Kensington at 244 Augusta Ave. Toronto, Ontario. Here is a link to the Bunner's Website to see more of what they offer. I really enjoyed their food.
Their butter tarts were so good!!! Just the right balance of raison to lovely runny filling ratio! I just loved them.
The Josephine Louise treat was delicious. Two pieces of red velvet cake, filled with a yummy coconut cream frosting and covered in chocolate ganache. Heaven! I do recommend trying this if you like red velvet cake and chocolate.
Had to try something savory, so went for the Jalapeno Cheddar Scone. The flavour was good, but it was a little dry. I think it would have been good with some butter.
This place has prepared meals that looked wonderful and some bake at home mixes. unfortunately, I couldn't try them this trip. Have you been to this bakery? What did you think? What are your favourites that I should try next time I'm in Toronto.
