On a recent trip to Toronto I just had to try the much talked about Riz Gluten-Free located at 3471A Yonge Street, North York, Ontario, Canada. If you'd like to check out their menu here is a link to their website. Looks like the menu has changed a bit since I was there. A reason to go back to Toronto and try out the new items!!
The best dish was the sweet and sour chicken. I love sweet and sour chicken and have really missed ordering it since my celiac diagnosis. This dish didn't disappoint! It was so tasty. Just the right sweetness and tang from the vinegar. I could have just ordered this dish over and over. I highly recommend it. The crispy beef dish was yummy too.
I always try the spring rolls when I'm at a 100% gluten free restaurant. These were crispy, not oily and I loved the dipping sauce.
Tried the gyoza. The dough was very nice. Perfect chew. I would order them again, but I have had ones I liked better.
All in all we had a good time at the Gluten-Free Riz and I would recommend giving them a try. Others in my group tried the Hot and Sour soup and the Beef See Ewe Noodles. They liked the soup, but found the noodle dish too strong for their tastes.
Have you been to this restaurant? What was your favourite dish?
