What a gem! Hidden away in the small community of Shirley near Sooke on Vancouver Island. (2794 Sheringham Point Rd. Sooke, BC) is this fantastic, cheerful, busy and delicious cafe. I did have concerns about cross-contamination as this is not a 100% gluten-free cafe, but the staff seemed very up-to-date on celiac needs and put my mind at ease. You will have to make your own judgement call.

The Gluten-free Salted Caramel Cheesecake! OMG! Just look at that thick, creamy caramel sauce! Luscious, rich, creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. I was in heaven.

The food is excellent. I do recommend this spot if you find yourself on the Island and in the area. Down the road is a path to a wonderful lighthouse and breath-taking views of the sea. I would go again. The inside is small but nicely decked out and they have a large outdoor eating area. It was extremely busy when we were there with a never ending line of people but the staff are efficient and very friendly.
