Outstanding!! This was a wonderful find for breakfast! My family and I went here on our last trip up to Squamish.
This cafe is not in Squamish. For some reason I thought it was and when we did a drive to just see where it was I thought my map was malfunctioning. It is part of the Sunwolf Resort in a tiny place called Brakendale about 15 minutes north of Squamish. You will think you are heading to the middle of nowhere and you kind of are, but have faith you will find it. Located where the Cheakamus and Cheekeye Rivers meet. It is just before the bridge.
It is a small place and fills up fast so get there early. Very stylish and comfy inside!!! We sat at the bench seating, so we could enjoy the view to their outside area. On a warm day you can enjoy their small patio area and picnic tables on the grass. I loved the rustic with modern touch decor inside.
As you can see by my receipt below they take celiac concerns very seriously. It is a busy place, but the staff were very pleasant and professional. They took my celiac cross contamination concerns seriously and put me at ease. As with all places that are not 100% gluten-free, there is always the possibility of cross-contamination, so you will have to decide what works for you.
That said, I would eat there again. I did not get sick. The food was wonderful!!! I had the Skipper breakfast with gluten-free toast and it was so good. I do not think words can adequately describe the deliciousness of the food. My egg was perfectly cooked, the hash browns so tasty, the bacon was perfectly crisp, but the star was the smoky roasted tomato! Everything we had was fresh and amazing. I have never tasted anything so good!!!! My son loved his Avocado Benny and my husband raved about their French Toast (Note: he had gluten bread).
The Resort has many lovely cabins and I do hope we can stay here one day. I recommend this lovely cafe.
Check out Fergie's Cafe website. They are open for breakfast and lunch from 8 am to 3 pm. (70002 Squamish Valley Rd, Brackendale, BC V0N 1H0)
Note as of the beginning of April 2018 Fergies had a fire that gutted the kitchen, they state on their website that they hope to be open soon.
