halloween toasted glutiono muffins

I love Glutino's gluten-free english muffins! They toast up so crispy on the outside and chewy inside. Perfect for making Halloween Pizza treats. You can have them for breakfast, lunch or as a snack.

I arranged mine on a parchment covered baking sheet. Topped them with a mixture of pizza sauce, salsa and BBQ sauce. Just make sure that your sauces are gluten-free! You need to be careful about BBQ sauce. I like using Sweet Baby Ray's Gluten-Free BBQ Sauce. Just a reminder, to always check out the ingredients list on all products before buying.

Then top with your favourite cheese. Also, check that the ones you are using are gluten-free. I used Kraft cheddar slices for the jack-o'-lantern face and Kraft mozzarella sticks for the mummy. I used a cup the size of the english muffins to cut round circles out of the cheddar cheese, you could also do this free hand, then cut out the face. For some of the faces, I used a red pepper and pre-cut out shapes. For the mummy I pre-cut some olives for the eyes. You could use pickles or green peppers. I then sliced the mozzarella sticks in thirds length-wise and tried to make them look like bandages wrapped around a mummy!

Pop the tray into a preheated 425 F oven and bake till the cheese melts. Don't leave the area as they can easily burn. It takes about 5-10 minutes in my oven. Each oven is different, so just keep an eye on them.

Let them cool down a bit before biting into one. There is a danger of burnt tongues otherwise.

If you prepare all your ingredients ahead of time, this is a fantastic activity to do with your children. They can make their own Halloween gluten-free english muffin snacks.

Happy Halloween everyone!
