If you can't find a premade Pumpkin Spice Mix here is an easy homemade version. To make it gluten-free just make sure that the spices you use don't have any gluten containing ingredients. It is a great way to use up spices in your pantry.
I use McCormick spices. According to their website allergen statement they do not hide ingredients in their ingredient statement. If gluten is in the product it will be declared in the ingredient statement. You can use which ever spice you are comfortable with. If you are interested in looking more deeply into McCormick's alleren statement I have provided a link to their Canadian website. In Canada we have good allergen labelling laws and if the product does not state a gluten source then it should be safe for a celiac to consume. As always when it comes to products - do your research.
If you aren't a fan of cloves you can cut down on the amount or not use it at all. Allspice has cloves in it, so for some that might be strong enough.
This recipe makes just less than a 1/2 cup. I store the mixture in a small jar.
I searched around the internet and it looks like the consensus is that the Pumpkin Spice Mix we are familiar with today, came about in the early 1930's in America. I didn't look into other countries.
I use this Pumpkin Spice mix in pumpkin lattes, pumpkin pie, muffins and as a topping on cookies. Do you like Pumpkin Spice or are you not a fan?
