If you find yourself in White Rock B.C. I highly recommend checking out Jan's On the Beach. They have fantastic gluten-free onion rings! The Executive Chef Jan is dedicated to making safe gluten-free dining options that also taste delicious. The restaurant is not 100% gluten-free, but the staff are very educated about the needs of those with celiac disease. They have a dedicated fryer, most of the menu and specials are gluten-free.
Did I say they had gluten-free onion rings! ^_^ By now you may have guessed that I love onion rings!!! If I find gluten-free ones I will always check them out. They are a rare find, and just look at that lovely large bowl of crunchy delight! The portion is huge. There were plenty for the three of us. I also tried the fish and chips and they were very tasty. I was only in White Rock for the day otherwise more of my meals would have been here. I will most definitely visit next time I am in White Rock.
The restaurant is a cozy little place right on Marine Drive just across from the ocean. The patio was a lovely place to enjoy food, sun and the view. We enjoyed a seaside walk after lunch to walk off all those yummy calories. Check out their menu jansonthebeach.ca/. Have you been here? I'd love to know what you thought. Any other suggestions on where a celiac can eat in White Rock B.C.?
