The Polly Fox Gluten-Free Bakery in Abbotsford is a must go! If you find yourself in Abbotsford I highly recommend dropping by this place. They are not only a 100% gluten-free bakery, but have a cafe in the bakery where you can get delicous gluten-free breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Everything I tried was so yummy, but the focaccia bread was the best. Fluffy and chewy with a crisp crust. I really should have bought more. The non-celiac's in the family enjoyed it too.
Above is a photo showing their menu and display cases. They have so many delicious looking items. They are both a bakery and a coffee shop. All 100% gluten-free. The owners are sister-in-law, Kelsey and Kaitlin. Kelsy is a celiac, so I felt that I could really trust their food. You can check out their website here at thepollyfox.com for more information.
Above are the bakery items I tried. They were all very tasty. The baguette had a nice chew to it. The veran chocolate chip cookie was so good. And for a savoury treat I really enjoyed the egg frittata.
They also sell some gluten-free food products like different gluten-free mixes, bags and clothing items with their name. They have an online store and ship anywhere in Canada. I'm not sure about international shipping. I have ordered from them online and I'm waiting for delivery. I will update this blog when the products arrive. The shipping cost shows up at check out and if you think it is too high you can end your transaction there. I thought that the shipping was reasonable.
I tried their Vegan Rosemary and Tart Cherry Crackers!! Oh my, they were so good. I'm sorry I thought I'd taken a picture of the crackers, but alas we must have eaten them all without me taking a photo. You can see a photo on The Polly Fox's website under "Shop". They cost $12.50 which is expensive, but they were worth it. Tasted very similar to Raincoast Crisps I used to buy before I was diagnosed with celiac disease. I wish I had bought more. I have ordered some of their crackers online. When I receive them I will update this blog with a photo. I'm so looking forward to them. The rest of my family(not celiacs) loved them too.
