I love anything pizza. Of course it must be gluten-free! So, when I spotted these Pizza Oggi Bacibites in Save on Foods the other day, I just had to give them a try!

They did not disappoint! I will be buying again. They have a mouth watering pizza smell. As you can see by the box, the pastry is a cauliflower crust. For those whom cauliflower is not their favourite veggie, the crust doesn't taste at all like cauliflower. It has a nice chew and quite a crunch when you bite into it. There is a good ratio of filling to crust.

The filling contains Beyond sausage italian crumbles, tomato sauce and vegan mozzarella and WOW they are delicious. The filling is rich and the flavour is definitely Italian, it has a yummy stretchy cheese taste and just the right balance of acidic tomato and deep pepperoni flavour. I would not have known that the filling was vegan, if I had not read it in the ingredients list.

I have provided a photo of the ingredients list above for those who are interested. I like that they have some extra vegetable fiber in them (bamboo and psyllium). A celiac diet is notorious for lacking fiber.

I baked mine in both the regular oven and the toaster oven. Next time I would like to try my air fryer. They came out more crunchy in the toaster oven. But both ways were great. They were fantastic the next day. The crunch had gone from the crust, but it still had a nice mouth feel and chew. I will be including these in my packed lunchs for certain.

I see from their website that they sell gluten-free mni calzones too. I didn't see them at my grocery store, but the next time I'm in the city I will see if I can find them and try them too.
